What's different with the new GR Plus model?
We have changed the front shock from the old upright model to a new inverted shock with a one-piece design. The adjustable base that attached to the hub is now part of the threaded body and the shock is an insert that slips into the threaded base. The new inverted design is stronger and can take much more lateral load as it does not have the weak point inherent to an upright shock - where the shock rod meets the shock body, it also makes adjusting ride height much quicker and simpler.

These aren't just your average "google search results" shocks you can just buy anywhere. First and foremost these shocks; unlike others, offer adjustable damping so you can tune the shocks to match changing conditions. Firm them up for carrying loads, soften them for fast off-road driving. Next our shock bodies are fully electroplated to fight off any corrosion and ensure they last a very long time. To back up our long term claim, we offer a 3 year warranty on our shocks.

These coil covers deliver a solid ride that can eat the off-road bumps with the flexibility of 0” to 3” of lift. This is definitely an off-road improvement for the Ridgeline in comparison to its stock suspension. On Road, it has comparable performance and feel to stock when the adjustable suspension is set to medium. Front sway bar links for me had to be adjustable to make these fit as my OEM links were too long with my 1.5” lift. My rear suspension did not require the adjustable tie bar links. Overall it was an easy install once I had the correct sway bar links. Be aware that any lift may require other components to change to accommodate the install such as the sway bar links, tie rod ends, etc. If you are newbie to these suspensions like me, I encourage you to be patient and reach out to flat out and possibly work with a local shop that’s familiar with these types of suspensions or a good buddy that has some familiarity with it. After making the proper adjustments, the suspension performs as advertised. Also the Renegade Honda Ridgeline channel was very helpful as was the Honda Ridgeline Off-Roaders Facebook group. Thanks to Flatout and all the resources I mentioned above for their content and feedback! Also, Flatout was responsive and went the extra mile. Text or email seems to work best for them I noticed.

 *All models will require installation of the spring and proper torqueing of the assembly nut. Fronts and rears come disassembled due to assembly length/ packing.
