Quick Look: Flatout Suspension Models
Sep 4th 2024
We get a lot of questions asking about various models and we have a tech article that breaks down the various GR suspension models, but here's everything...
Flatout SR: This is our entry-level street version "comparable" to similar products on the market from various brands. The SR buyer wants to lower a daily driver, keep it comfortable and keep it simple. We offer three spring colors and two valving styles so you can customize them to your specific desires. The SR and GR Lite are based on each other, only different by lowering/ lifting (travel) and street vs offroad valving/ spring rates.
Flatout CS: This is our track ready - but very streetable suspension. Key features are an inverted shock, reservoirs, and digressive valving. The CS shares elements with the GR40, but like the SR to GR Lite, travel, valving and spring rates separate them from street/ track vs offroad suspensions.
Flatout CS PRO: This version turns the dial of the CS up to 11 and it's key feature is 3-way shock damping control; low and high speed compression and rebound. This is a true motorsport suspension.
Flatout GR Lite: Like the SR, this is our entry-level offroad suspension for daily drivers that want a 2" lift. Ride height is adjustable from stock height to right around 3". Paired with our proprietary offroad shock valving and low rate springs, this will give you ground clearance without compromising OEM ride quality.
Flatout GR Plus: Easily our best selling suspension as it falls smack dab in the middle of the GR Lite and GR40. This is basically a GR Lite but with inverted front shocks giving you more strength and endurance for offroad adventures. Like the GR Lite, the valving and spring rates keep the ride quality of an OEM suspension.
Flatout GR40: This set up takes the GR Plus and adds external oil reservoirs to the rear shocks (or gives you inverted shocks on the rear - depending on the application). This is a very popular option for people that like to really push it offroad, or compete in rallycross/ club level rally events. External reservoir shocks add a bit more compression travel as the floating piston is moved to the reservoir, allowing more stroke.
Flatout GR40R: This is exactly like the GR40, but adds external oil reservoirs to the front shocks.
Flatout GR40 PRO: This is basically the GR40R but the reservoirs are swapped with reservoirs with low and high speed compression adjustments, making a 3-way suspension.
Flatout GR50: This is basically the GR40, but the shock insert is 50mm (instead of 40) and the threaded bodies are 62mm (instead of 52mm). This is our stage rally/ hardcore variant.
Flatout GR50R: Like the GR40R, this adds reservoirs to all four shocks, but uses the larger 50/62 shocks, like the GR50.
Flatout GR50 PRO: Same as the GR40 PRO, but again, uses the larger 50/62 shocks. This is an all out stage rally suspension.
*We do not list every version of every suspension we can make on our site. But, if we make something for your car, and you want a version not listed - just ask, more than likely we can do it for you.
