The Flatout Locking Spring Perch (sold individually) is the newest upgrade for our coilover systems, engineered to solve the common issues found in traditional dual-ring lock designs. Instead of relying on a small jam-nut to hold preload, this upgraded perch uses a clamping mechanism that locks solidly onto the shock body for a quieter, more secure setup.
Built from precision-machined aluminum with a split-clamp design, the Locking Spring Perch eliminates unwanted rotation under load and helps remove the familiar “boing” or popping sounds that occur when conventional perches loosen over time. If you’ve ever heard a spring perch shift after a driveway ramp or speed bump, this upgrade stops it at the source.
The best part: installation is simple. Just spin it into position like a standard perch, set your preload or ride height, and tighten the clamp screw. No jamming. No guessing. No risk of the rings unthreading themselves on rough roads or off-road terrain.
This perch directly replaces the original Flatout adjuster ring used on GR Lite, GR Plus, and GR40 kits.
Why Upgrade to the Flatout Locking Spring Perch?
Locked-In Security
Instead of depending on a secondary jam-ring, the split-clamp design grips the shock body and prevents loosening under vibration or heavy suspension cycling.
Quiet Operation
Stops the metallic “boing” or popping noise caused by perches shifting or backing off during normal driving.
Simple Installation
Threads on like a standard perch. Set it, clamp it, and you’re done.
Direct Replacement
Swaps in for the original Flatout adjuster ring with no additional parts needed.
Precision Machining
Made from high-strength anodized aluminum with clean threads and a smooth interface to maintain consistent preload.
