Rear Shock Lower Eye Widths
The two sizes used are:
| Lower Eye Width | Typical Bolt Size | Notes |

| 44 mm (≈1.75 in) | M19 | Later / wider mount version |
Why There Are Two
Mazda uses the same basic torsion-beam rear suspension architecture across the Mazda3, CX-30, and CX-50 platform family. During production Mazda revised the rear shock clevis spacing and bolt size, which resulted in two different lower eye widths.
Typically the change corresponds to:
-
Narrower 36mm eye → earlier production shocks
-
Wider 44mm eye → later production / updated beam mounts
