02-06 Honda CR-V Offroad Lift Suspension
The NEW Trail Runner (TR) kits are an OEM style shock & spring combo much like the OEM suspension (not a height adjustable coilover) to give you a ride height 2" higher than OEM. To achieve the added height, we have added stroke to the shock, and assembly length so we gain in upward and downward travel.
Our assembly also looks completely OEM as it is all black. You can get additional height by adding spacers from anyone. As these are just like the OEM assemblies, they can be used with any spring on the market meant for OEM style shocks (Bilstein, KYB, etc.); lift springs, overload springs, etc.
The Trail Runner (TR) was made with a strict requirement to feel like an OEM suspension, but with more travel, enhancing offroad capabilities. Performance-wise, these are a better option than OEM shocks or Bilstein shocks (which do not increase travel and are typically a more sport-tuned shock) paired with strut top spacers. Those options are strictly for adding ground clearance, nothing more.

Trail-Ready Upgrade: Flatout Trail Runner on My 2005 CR-V
Everything about this suspension kit looks and feels great right out of the box. The build quality is solid, and the adjustable dampening is a fantastic feature that makes fine-tuning your ride easy. Install was pretty straightforward—basically like swapping out any quick strut setup. I highly recommend pairing the install with an engine drop + subframe drop kit, a rear trailing arm drop kit, front camber bolts, and rear adjustable upper control arms for optimal results. My alignment went smoothly with no issues whatsoever, and I was even able to reuse my OEM spec-out tie rod ends. Unlike other setups, I didn’t have to grind out my fender wells for tie rod clearance, which was a huge bonus. One thing to note: go with the overload rate springs. I originally tried the OEM rate and still had some rear sag compared to the front. With the overload springs, the stance leveled out nicely. After install, I achieved a solid 3" lift, which may settle a bit over time—but for now, it looks and performs just right. Highly recommend this product to anyone looking to lift their CR-V the right way and unlock its full trail potential!
