A torrington bearing (sometimes called a thrust bearing) allows the spring to turn independently from the coilover assembly which will prevent spring bind, but when coupled with a bearing on top (usually the thrust bearing below the camber plate on your coilover - or a 2nd bearing set between your spring and top plate) it will allow the spring to move completely uninhibited which greatly reduces any rotational friction so pre-loading your spring is effortless. See how the spring moves in the video, and compare with your coilovers:
These are available for purchase separately, or if you order with your SR coilovers, we will install them between the spring perch and spring for you.
SOLD IN PAIRS : CARS WITH SPRING AND SHOCK SEPARATED, ONLY ORDER 1 PAIR AS IT'LL BE FRONT ONLY! NORMAL COIL OVER SPRING TYPE (LIKE THE VIDEO) WILL NEED FOUR TOTAL).
