On Subarus with the rear multi-link suspension (08+ WRX, 05+, Outback, 09+ Forester, etc.) as you lift beyond 1.25-1.5" you will notice the rear wheel starting to move forward in the wheel arch. These subframe drop kits will help to center the wheel in the arch, correcting the alignment and allowing clearance for larger tires.
